With the constant improvement in computer’s calculating capability, overwhelming prevalence of Internet information, and infinity of virtual space, everyone can enjoy the benefits of informationization with low-cost and time-saving. On the other hand, informationization also causes new problems. Various services are provided through internet, wireless broadband network, and new technology products. | Constructing a secure and unassailable environment for information communication is the basis of a modern information society. Ever since 2001, the government has launched the National Information and Communication Security Taskforce to actively promote various security policies, taking the information and communication security issue as a major concern. The STPI has initiated close cooperation with government agencies to provide advice on information and communication security as reference for devising policy. With its advantages in flexibility and convenience as well as constant improving technology, the growing application of wireless technology can be regulated by policies for meeting the demand of overall security. | |
Expected achievements |
|
| With rapid development of information society, more and more people take advantage of high-speed capability of computers to replace labor-intensive manual calculation. The prompt, zero-distance, and round-the-clock services provided by the Internet coupled with the real-time wireless communication, all services can be available at any time and at any place. | |
